Batman #711 (2011)

It's good to know that DC, who set high standards for comic books with stuff like "Dark Knight Returns", "Watchmen", "PREZ" and "Captain Carrot and his Amazing Zoo Crew", is still keeping that bar raised.

As evidenced in the latest issue of Batman:

Cuz' really, there ain't nothing I'd rather see in my comic books than 2/3 of a page depicting a random guy PUKING. Thank you for almost 80 years of comics DC, you can die now. You made us believe a man could fly. Now you made us believe a man could puke. I don't know what else there is to accomplish.

Last issue had a full frontal view of a guy's head being blown open; in all its bloody and gory fun. And now we have this-- the Bat-Puke Punch. Why not draw the usual spittle flying out of the dude's mouth or --oh, I don't know-- NOTHING?! Nope, you had to go with vomit. I feel sorry for the artist who had the idea: "I know! I'll make Batman hit this guy so hard that he PUKES!! Tee hee! Where's my artboard?!!" Even worse, an editor might have told him to draw a 2/3 spread of a guy puking.

Fuck you, DC. Have fun with your re-start, 52 #1 issues, digital comics and other bullshit.
